2 RECSAM News Vol. 52 - No. 1 Completion of Regular Courses for F.Y. 2019/2020 (Batch 2) Completion of Regular Courses for F.Y. 2020/2021 (Batch 1) RECSAM successfully conducted its regular courses for F.Y. 2019/2020 (Batch 2) from 1 February to 12 March 2021 with of 37 (thirty- seven) teachers and teacher educators from the following SEAMEO Member Countries: Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand. The online courses were delivered over the length of four (4) weeks, with 2 weeks online classes and 2 weeks of online project supervision. RC-PS-144-3: Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) in Primary Science Education A total of 19 (nineteen) participants from Indonesia, Lao DPR, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand successfully completed this course. This course was supervised by Mr. Sharfuddin bin Abdul Shukor. RC-SM-144-4: Purposeful Assessment in Secondary Mathematics Classrooms Eighteen (18) participants from Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Thailand successfully completed this training course. This course was supervised by Dr. Warabhorn Preechaporn. Certificate Presentation Ceremony of Regular Courses for F.Y. 2019/2020 (Batch 2) THE 144 TH CERTIFICATE PRESENTATION CEREMONY of Regular Courses for F.Y. 2019/2020 (Batch 2) was held virtually on 15 March 2021. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Kritsachai Somsaman, Deputy Director (Administration and Communication), representing Dr. Ethel Agnes Pascua-Valenzuela, Director of SEAMEO Secretariat, Bangkok, Thailand. He thanked RECSAM for conducting the courses and added that these courses were an eye-opener where science and mathematics teachers and educators gained immense knowledge and skills. One for the album RECSAM once again successfully conducted its regular courses for F.Y. 2020/2021 (Batch 1) on 5 to 30 April 2021 and 19 April to 12 May 2021 respectively via online mode. Fourty (40) teachers and teacher educators from the following SEAMEO Member Countries: Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand were offered scholarships to attend these courses over the length of four (4) weeks, with 2 weeks online classes and 2 weeks of online project supervision. RC-PS-145-1 Implementing School-Based Alternative Assessment in Primary Science Education A total of 20 (twenty) participants from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand successfully completed this course. This course was supervised by Mr. Sharfuddin bin. Abdul Shukor via online mode from 5 to 30 April 2021. RC-PM-145-2 Implementing School-Based Alternative Assessment in Primary Mathematics Education Twenty (20) participants from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand successfully completed this training course. This course was supervised by Ms. Teh Kim Hong via online mode from 19 April to 12 May 2021. Certificate Presentation Ceremony of Regular Courses for F.Y. 2020/2021 (Batch 1) THE 145 TH CERTIFICATE PRESENTATION CEREMONY of Regular Courses for F.Y. 2020/2021 (Batch 1) was held virtually on 19 May 2021. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Shah Jahan Assanarkutty, Centre Director of SEAMEO RECSAM. He congratulated all participants for the successful completion of these courses and thanked SEAMEO Secretariat, all SEAMEO member countries and the Ministries of Education for the support and successful conduct of these courses. He hoped that these courses have provided the participants with the opportunity to develop fundamental skills as they forge ahead in this 21 st Century.
