10 RECSAM News Vol. 52 - No. 2 Farewell New Faces TO THE FOLLOWING former staff of RECSAM, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours. Your dedication and contribution to the Centre would be greatly remembered! LET US welcome the following new member into RECSAM’s family! Dr. Mariam Binti Othman , Deputy Director (Research & Development) completed her secondment term at RECSAM and left the Centre on 31 August 2021. Dr. Kamalambal A/P Durairaj joined RECSAM as a Specialist based at Research & Development Division on 16 August 2021. Dr. Kamalambal previously served SMJK Heng Ee Cawangan Bayan Baru as an academic teacher. Madam Rabuah Hashim , General Assistant who joined RECSAM International House since 1 June 1977 retired from service and left on 5 August 2021. DUE to the COVID-19 pandemic, mass gathering is not allowed. This year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration was held via online meeting platform on 1 June 2021. With no mass gatherings planned, this year’s Raya Celebration at RECSAMwas an entirely new experience for all RECSAM staff. The Centre celebrated the festive season in a special way with all our Muslim colleagues in an online assembly, by inviting all staff as virtual guests. The monthly online assembly cum Raya celebration session were recorded and posted on RECSAM’s YouTube channel so that everyone can share in the festive cheer. All staff were reminded to appreciate the little things in life and find innovative ways to continue the traditions and remember to put safety first.
