3 RECSAM News Vol. 52 - No. 2 Completion of Regular Courses for F.Y. 2020/2021 (Batch 2) RECSAM successfully conducted its regular courses for F.Y. 2020/2021 (Batch 2) from 14 June to 9 July 2021 with a total number of 34 (thirty-four) teachers and teacher educators from the following SEAMEO Member Countries: Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The online courses were delivered over the length of four (4) weeks, with 2 weeks online classes and 2 weeks of online project supervision. RC-SS-145-3: Embracing Inquiry-Based Science Education to Enhance Instructional Capacity of Secondary Science Teachers Seventeen (17) participants from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand successfully completed this training course. This course was supervised by Dr. Thiruchelvam Kandaiah. RC-SM-145-4: Developing Conceptual Understanding in Secondary Mathematics through Standard-Based Curriculum and Best Pedagogical Practices A total of 17 (seventeen) participants from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand successfully completed this course. This course was supervised by Mr. Gan Teck Hock. Completion of Regular Courses for F.Y. 2021/2022 (Batch 1) RECSAM once again successfully conducted its regular courses for F.Y. 2021/2022 (Batch 1) from 2 to 27 August 2021 with a total number of 36 (thirty-six) teachers and teacher educators from the following SEAMEO Member Countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Thailand. The online courses were delivered over the length of four (4) weeks, with 2 weeks online classes and 2 weeks of online project supervision. RC-PS-146-1 Enhancing Primary Science Education through Professional Learning Community Engaging in Classroom-based Research Seventeen (17) participants fromBrunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Thailand successfully completed this training course. This course was supervised by Dr. Thiruchelvam Kandaiah. RC-PM-146-2 Developing Conceptual Understanding in Primary Mathematics through Standard-based Curriculum and Best Pedagogical Practices Nineteen (19) participants from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Thailand successfully completed this training course.
