ISSMCT is an international educational event targeting classroom teachers and educators from SEAMEO member countries and beyond. The main objective of this symposium is to gather the best practices in classroom pedagogy from teachers in Southeast Asia and beyond.
The detail objectives of ISSMCT are as follows:

To serve as a platform for Science and Mathematics classroom teachers to showcase their inventions/innovations, new teaching techniques, new pedagogical approaches, and new classroom initiatives to the world

To promote regional networking among classroom teachers (not limited to Science and Mathematics field) for professional development

To enhance classroom teaching and learning skills through regional sharing of new content knowledge among teachers as well as from field experts

To compile and strengthen regional best practices in classroom teaching through professional development and lifelong learning platforms
The target group of ISSMCT includes formal education teachers, trainee teachers, non-formal trainers, university lecturers, and private tutors who have a passion for classroom teaching.
Invitations to be part of ISSMCT includes all SEAMEO Member countries; Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
ISSMCT is also opened to all; not limited to SEAMEO member countries. Anyone who have the passion towards enhancing pedagogical skill are welcome.
