The content will covers most of science subjects; namely physical science, life science, social science, formal science and applied science.

Level 1

In this level, each students will be given an answer sheet. There will be up to 100 questions and students must answer all questions using the answer sheet. Each questions will be electronically displayed at the front of the hall. Each question will appear between 60 to 120 second before moving to the next question. Level 2 (STEM Challenge difficulty level - Easy/Medium)

In this level, students will conduct the challenge in groups (maximum of 4 per group). Each group will be given a problem, a set of FREE tools, a Purchase Requisition Form (PR Form), a paper and a pencil. Students will be required to discuss the problem given and develop a device to solve the problem using the set of tools given.

If the group find that the FREE tools are insufficient, students may opt to make a "purchase" by bringing the PR Form to the SEASO Mart. All purchases will only use the PR Form issued by the Secretariat. Upon collection of additional materials from the SEASO Mart, the cashier will write the total purchase in the PR Form and return it back to the group.
