Having multidisciplinary interests and a passion for lifelong learning, Dr. Ng Khar Thoe has diversified her scope of studies in R&D division to be an advocate for Science Education integrating transdisciplinary approaches supported by blended learning tools. She holds a Ph.D in Education (OUM), M.Ed. (Brunel, London) and B.Sc.Ed. (Hons.)(USM, Penang). Her research interests lie mainly on enhancing essential skills of learners through technology-enhanced science/mathematics pedagogical approaches including PBA, PBL and IBL. She has wide teaching experience as teacher at primary and secondary levels both at schools locally and abroad prior to be specialist in science/training division; as well as being tutor/trainer/academic facilitator/project supervisor at tertiary institutions prior to be specialist in R&D division. She also has diverse managerial experience as Regional Coordinator, Acting Head of Science, Chief editor of journals, Co-Chair and Chair of Conference, etc. with involvement in many national/regional/international programmes as founder/coordinator/judge/reviewer/ advisor/ speaker/consultant as well as project and Regional Director of Science across the World in Asia Pacific Region. She published extensively with more than 350 publications involving as lead writer (>200), editor and chief editor, of which quite a number of books, modules, book chapters as well as refereed/indexed/Scopus/ISI papers were cited/referred widely. Her efforts made in these publications also won acclaims, accolades and appreciation from many events at regional and international levels, e.g. ICDE2009, ICDE2013, ISCIIID 2014, 1RCCS2014, 2RCCS2015, iPEINX2016, SEAQIL REGRANT 2017-2019, ICRDSTHM-17, ICRTSTMSD-18, iCon-MESSSH-20, to name a few. Her current focus and research interests include helping as many youths and people as possible to achieve their life goals through lifelong continuous professional learning with blended-mode platforms for inspiring creativity, networking as well as sustainable living for all.
