Introduction
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming teaching and learning across Southeast Asia, creating opportunities for innovative, personalized, and engaging educational experiences. However, many educators still face challenges with AI literacy, accessibility, and effective integration into pedagogy. In response, SEAMEO RECSAM proposes this regional competition to provide a platform for educators to explore, demonstrate, and share innovative AI-integrated teaching practices. The initiative serves as a knowledge-sharing platform, promotes regional collaboration, and contributes to developing future-ready teaching competencies aligned with 21st-century education goals and SEAMEO's priority areas.

Transforming STEAM Pedagogy for Future-Ready Learning
This theme highlights the role of AI in enhancing teaching and learning practices across STEAM education. It encourages educators to explore innovative ways of integrating AI to create engaging, inclusive, personalized, and future-ready learning experiences. Participants are invited to demonstrate practical AI applications that empower learners and prepare them for the opportunities and challenges of the digital age.
Target Participant
The competition is open to educators from all SEAMEO member countries.
Format and Implementation
The competition is structured in three phases:

Phase 1: AI Literacy and Orientation (July - September 2026): Includes an AI webinar/workshop introducing participants to ethical and effective AI integration in STEAM education.

Phase 2: Project Development (September - November 2026): Participants develop and implement AI-integrated teaching innovations and prepare their video submissions showcasing classroom implementation, teaching strategies, lesson activities, teaching resources, or AI-enhanced learning activities.

Phase 3: Submission, Judging, and Recognition (December - February 2027): Video submissions are evaluated based on established judging criteria. Outstanding participants are recognized, and selected submissions may be disseminated through SEAMEO RECSAM platforms and professional learning activities.

Project Timeline: All submissions must be received by November 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM (GMT+8).

Entry Format: Participants must submit one (1) video presentation showcasing how they effectively incorporate AI into their teaching strategies. The video may demonstrate an innovative lesson, classroom implementation, teaching strategy, teaching resource, or AI-enhanced learning activity. All submissions must be directly related to the competition theme.

Language: English must be used exclusively. Participants must refrain from using any language or content that is sensitive, offensive, or inappropriate.

Participation: This is an individual competition. Each participant may submit only one (1) video entry.

Originality and Rights: The submitted work must be the original creation of the participant and must not infringe on any copyright or intellectual property rights.

By submitting an entry, participants grant SEAMEO RECSAM the right to use submitted materials for educational, promotional, and knowledge-sharing purposes, with proper acknowledgement.
